There is a unique anxiety attached to seeking out just the right makeup for your skin when there are so many of them to choose from. (Rachel Stinson realized the vast variety of makeup available for different skin types to carefully choose from according to your skin while online shopping in UAE. Who’s Rachel? Scroll down.)

5 Makeup Tips for Beginners

Figuring out your skin type is an exhausting and confusing process. To know what to use, a girl has to do a lot of research and go through a lot of makeup aisles to put her kit together. This will help you get started.

1. Know your skin type

There are different ingredients in every makeup for different types of skin. The base of any makeup is the primer and the foundation. But, there are different types of foundation and primers – all of which have different ingredients to compliment your skin type that will make your skin healthy, crease free, and make it glow.

Whether you have oily skin, dry skin, or sensitive skin, there is makeup made for your skin type… you just need to find it!

2. Know your skin tone

Once you learn the tone of your skin, buying makeup from here on out will be a piece of cake.

For example, if you are buying a foundation, keep in mind to always buy a foundation that is one shade lighter than your skin tone. Why? Well, because it will help enhance your features and give you complete coverage.

If you buy a foundation that is two shades brighter than your skin tone, your skin will give off a gray hue that will ruin the look of your makeup.

3. Pick the right eyeshades

Eye-makeup is the most prominent, determining half of the look of our face. After you acknowledge the shape of your eyes, you will know what brush strokes will give you the desired eye goals and makeup results.

When choosing eyeshades, always choose a color that will compliment your skin tone, skin color, and also enhances the color of your eye.

  • People with warm skin tones can go with golden hue eye shadows like greens, browns, and pinks.
  • People with cool skin tones can wear eyeshades in blues, grays, silver, and plums.
  • People with darker skin tones can wear darker and bolder colors and easily pull them off.

4. Pick the right blush

Blush or highlighter is used to finalize ones’ makeup.

There are various ways to apply the blush to get the desired shape of ones’ face. So, always remember to choose a blush that will compliment your skin tone and blend it in nicely. Blush should never be streaky so choose a subtle color within your skin tone range.

  • Warm skin tones can go with brown and copper blushes to highlight their features.
  • Cool or fair toned skins can wear burnt orange, light pink, and coral shades.
  • Dark skinned tones should choose blushes in the shades of anything that’s bright – bright orange blushes and subtle shimmery bronzers are made for you!

5. Pick the right lip color

Lipsticks make a bold statement. They determine your mood and can even make or break your evening plans.

Some people like to go with shiny glosses when others choose subtle, matte colors.

  • Brown, warm reds, and pale warm shades are good for warm skin tones.
  • Cool or fair skin tones can pull off warm pinks, purples, and sheer pink gloss.
  • Darker tones can wear lipsticks in warm browns, beige, and reds.
