The literal translation of ‘coquito’ from Spanish to English is ‘little coconut’.

Going by its name, the coquito recipe would deem to be a cocktail where coconut, or its derivatives, are the primary ingredients.

Coquito is the Puerto Rican equivalent of eggnog that would bring in Christmas bliss to your blessed taste buds… and because my mom was born and raised in Puerto Rico, this coquito recipe is perfect for my blog!

Even though coquito is essentially Puerto Rican, it is the Caribbean and Latin American counterparts are equally enticing.

While its other ingredients may vary, one cannot simply miss its eternal ingredient, white rum. (I mean, it is a Puerto Rican recipe after all!)
