Haluski Recipe Ingredients
- Egg Noodles – 1 packet or 16 ounces, medium wide
- Divided Butter – 1 cup
- Chopper Onions – 2 large
- Cabbage with small heads – 2, cored & cut in 1-inch pieces
- Bacon – 3 strips (optional, but who doesn’t love bacon?!)
Haluski Recipe Directions
- The oven needs to be preheated to a temperature of 3000F.
- Boil the egg noodles in rolling boiling water until it is tender yet firm for about 5 minutes.
- In a skillet, fry the onions in ½-cup butter until translucent for 5-10 minutes.
- Put the remaining butter in the pan and sauté with cabbage until the cabbage is softened for about 5-8 minutes.
- After seasoning, the mixture with salt and pepper, bake them in the oven for 30-40 minutes.
- To spice it up, bacon strips can be added while sautéing the cabbage onion mix.
